PLAYER
ALOIADominic "Krusty" A 100%er, listens to advice, just scored his first fifty for the club this season. Dom is a pleasure to be around. Uses hair straighteners. Mature beyond his years.
BARROWDean "Deano" Another ex colt, Deano can often be seen on his bike with his kit bag on his back as he negotiates Barford bridge. Looks like Shay Given, batting is improving the more he practices.
BENSONMatt "Cat Dog" New winter signing last year from local rivals Caldecote. Bowls large in-swing and capable top order player that recently scored 85 against other rivals Cople. Good egg, needs direction. Top Man though, and decent goalkeeper.
BOULDINGChris "Malinga" A favourite with the Sunday 2nd team, something of a cult hero for his “Lasith Malinga” style bowling action. Another product of the successful under 14 side, the future is bright, the future is “boulders”.
BROWNChris "Charlie"

"Brownie"
Another transfer, this time from Biggleswade. Can bowl with both hands, spinning the ball, and effective batsman especially on poor wickets where he employs the legendary dab shot. Feet are always in the "ten to two" position.
COOPERDavid"Coops"

"Duck"

"Ibiza Duck"
Long-term player for one so young, David is a joy to be around, one of life's nice guys. Left handed bowler and batsman, a genuine all-rounder. Enjoys tours a little too much.
COVERDALEDaniel "Cubby"

"Chubby"

"Covers"
One of the nicest people in the club, admired and respected by all. Currently striving to be recognised as legendary status material. Likes a graft with the bat, and under used bowler from what we have seen on tour. Good sense of humour, can't throw a ball.
COTTRELLMatthew "Titch" All-rounder who looks like the kid off of the "it's gonna taste great advert". Bowls at a decent lick, and plays correctly with the bat.
CRABBGraham "Crabby" Captain Scott's player, and friend to Blunham CC. Bowls leg spin. Very dodgy on any sea faring vessels. Went on tour to sweet T & T with Nick, drinks rum.
FITZGERALDGeoffrey "Mustard"

"G"

"Paddington"
Bedfordshire under 17 player who bowls with a decent set of wheels as they say. Batsman who likes to play his shots, and when he's in scores very quickly, demands perfection. Likes egg mayonnaise sandwiches and small suitcases.
GENOVESESalvatore "Sevvy" local chilli pepper producer. Appearances sadly infrequent nowadays, but used to bowl booming in-swingers, and capable of holding a bat. Always last to arrive despite living nearest to the ground, and often has absences to repair his boiler in the glasshouses as they keep blowing up. Listens to soul and funk, and is a bit eccentric. Interesting dancer.
GRIMESAdam "Grimo"

"20/20 Grimo"
Also scored his first 50 for the club this season, and much is hoped for from the wicket-keeper/batsman and occasional leg spin bowler.
Got tired and emotional on tour, often seen smiling, has just snared himself a girlfriend we think.
HARDINGNick "Tricky"

"Mr Tricks"
A central character within the club. All-rounder who lives the game. When not involved with cricket likes watching programmes on sharks.
HAYJamie "Gilo"

"Best in Club"
Sunday 2nd team Captain, usually found smiling unless he's just got out, prone to random fits of temper. Useful middle order batsman who has just started hitting sixes, bowls off spin, and is probably the best in club at everything. Damn good fielder at gully.
HEAPSConnor "Condog"

"Dufus"
Child prodigy, all rounder, bats, bowls quick, bowls spin, keeps wicket, probably does the teas as well if you let him. Captain of Bedfordshire Under 14's, starting to make his way in the adult sides when we see him off of county duty.
HOWARDBenny"Heavy Metal Benny" Improving batsman, but most noted for bowling quite quickly for his age. Always smiling and a nice lad to boot. Listens to rubbish music most of the time.
HUDSONChris "New Bloke"

"Tourettes"
Smacks the ball miles, and bowls a varied selection of short pitched balls. Always up there at the end of season for the most sixes hit.
Swears a lot. Captain of the Saturday 1st team.
McADAMDave "Float"

"Milkfloat"
Larger than life character who smacks the ball miles. Very often gets off the mark with a six. Bowls tidily and often picks up bagful wickets. Usually has hands like buckets. Good team man, and does a nice tea. Not one to get on the wrong side of. Strong as an ox.
McGLYNNCallum "Gummo"

"Figjam"

"Cal"
Big hitting, but now reliable batsman, excellent fielder, safe pair of hands, and bowls leg spin. Not short on confidence (or self-portraits in his Facebook), likes playing aggressively, seems to have settled down into a much better player since he met his new girlfriend who seems to have had a settling influence on him.
NEWELLMark "Binko"

"Jayasuriya Bink"
Opener who gives the ball a thrash when it is up there.
Useful fielder who doesn't miss many catches. Piercing blue eyes, dances with absolutely no rhythm whatsoever. Bowls hand grenades from behind his bunker. Scorer of several centuries for the club. Walks funny.
PALLISTERMark "MAP"

"Badger"
The scourge of many a batsman on a slow low wicket. Bowls at a deceptive pace and frequently takes wickets in large clusters. Very laid back, goes with the flow, ideal person to Captain.
SADLERMartin "Sid"

"Stadler"
Self proclaimed legend of the game, but one of the funniest people I know, especially when he's moaning. Good opening bat who likes to hook, pull and cut most things. Bowls seldom, but when he does on tour, it looks a real effort to get it down the other end. Keeps wicket, or more often than not, fields at slip. Very reliable catcher and bat.
SWANNLuke "Swanndog" A close season signing from Dunstable, Luke is a Staff coach at Northamptonshire County Cricket Club. Permanently injured, but when not, bowls a fearsome assortment of straight breaks and arm balls. Possessor of the best forward defensive shot in the club. Observe the safety instructions on a firework to be safe around him when he walks off after dismissal. Most often seen wearing his Northants CC tracksuit.
WILDONNeil "The Blender"

"Brian"

"D.o.C."
Right arm quick (used to be) bowler and canny lower order batsman, the self styled Director of Cricket. Organises most things and can often be found dispensing sage advice to youngsters, when they listen.
