MIKE GATTING CAME TO BLUNHAM ON FRIDAY .......................RED ARROWS DID A FLY PAST !
The former England, Middlesex and MCC Captain, Mike Gatting (now ECB Director of Cricket) made a special visit to Blunham during the afternoon of Friday 19th September to support the record-breaking attempt. We're still not sure if it was pure coincidence (but we don't think it was !) but at 2.00pm on Sunday 21st Sept, the RAF Red Arrows Display team did a very low formation pass over the playing field at Blunham. Observers say yellow and red (Blunham's colours) vapour trails were seen as the jets roared over the field. We have yet to have it confirmed that this was deliberate (mighty big coincidence if it was not !)

Headlining the Music Festival on the Saturday evening (20th Sept) were The "Fugitives", led by Northants county opening bowler, STEVE CROOK.
